Q: What was your major in college?
A: Psychology
Q: Why did you choose it as your major?
A: I wanted to work with people to
help relieve suffering.
Q: Were you happy with your choice?
A: Yes.
Q: What did you end up doing after graduation?
A: Two years as a research
assistant in a psychiatry dept and then, a doctoral program in clinical
psychology.
Q: Did your major help you or hurt you in your search for a job?
A: It helped me, but my research experience, which was not required for my major, was the most helpful.
Q: Did your major give you the skills to succeed at your first job?
A: Sort of. Organizational skills helped me the most....
