FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: I'm a homeschooled student. Am I still eligible to participate in the contest?
A: Absolutely. Please send us your entry via email.
Q: I am a U.S. citizen and high school or college student, but I currently live outside the country - am I eligible to participate in the contest?
A: Yes, you are, as long as you are a U.S. citizen.
Q: I graduated from high school in the spring/summer of 2004 but I'm taking a year off before going to college - am I eligible to participate in the contest?
A: Yes.
Q: Can I snail mail my entry?
A: Sorry, we can only accept entries via email. Please email yours to fallcontest04@nataviguides.com
Q: Is there a specific topic that I have to write on, such as the topics listed on the website?
A: Nope. You can write your essay on any topic you wish.
Q: Is my name, grade, school, and address of school included in the 500 words?
A: No. The word limit applies only to the text of your essay.
Q: Will I get an email back confirming that you've received my essay?
A: Unfortunately, due to the high volume of entries that we receive each day, we're not able to confirm that we've received your individual essay. But as long as you send it to fallcontest04@nataviguides.com, we'll be able to read it and evaluate it.
